My story

ALL ABOUT ME   Name: Duksil Age: 5 years old Gender: Female Spayed/Neutered: Yes Breed: Spitz mix Colour: Beige, White Weight: 13kg / 28.6lbs Microchipped: Yes    MY RESCUE STORY Hi, I’m Duksil! I was rescued from a difficult situation where I lived with many other dogs in an animal hoarding case. Life back then was scary and uncertain, but thanks to kind-hearted rescuers, I’m now safe and finally learning what it means to be cared for. I’m slowly discovering how wonderful it feels to be loved—and now, I’m ready to find a forever family of my own who will show me that the best chapters of my life are just beginning.     MY HEALTH Fully vaccinated (5-round series complete)  I’ve been spayed and have no known health issues.    MY PERSONALITY I’m a gentle soul who’s still learning to trust the world. I can be quite shy at first and need a bit of time, patience, and understanding before I feel safe enough to open up. Being picked up makes me nervous, so I prefer to build trust slowly and at my own pace. It might take me a few days to a week to settle into a new environment, but once I feel secure, I’ll become your quiet, loyal shadow—always nearby and happily soaking up your love and affection.    MY SOCIAL SKILLS With People:  I may be shy at first and need a little time and patience to feel truly safe. But with a few days to a week of gentle care and quiet understanding, I’ll start to come out of my shell and show you my sweet, loyal nature. I’d thrive best with a dog-savvy family who understands that shy pups like me just need a little extra love and space to adjust. Once I know I can trust you, I’ll be your devoted shadow—always nearby and happy to soak up your affection. And don’t worry, I don’t guard my food around people.   With Dogs: I’m pretty indifferent when it comes to other dogs. I don’t mind saying hello and being around them, but I usually prefer to keep to myself rather than jump into play. If another dog is being rude or pushy, I’m not afraid to stand my ground—so it’s best to introduce me to new dog friends slowly and with supervision. I also like to protect my food when other dogs are nearby, and I’ll growl to let them know I need my space during mealtime. It’ll be best to feed me separately for management.   With Cats:  I haven’t had the chance to meet any cats yet so my reaction is unknown.    ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES  I have a nice, moderate energy level—just the right balance! I love spending time outside sniffing around and taking in all the sights and smells, but once I’ve had my outdoor time, I’m more than happy to snuggle up and relax indoors. I enjoy calm moments just as much as little adventures.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m still learning how to walk confidently on leash, so I’ll need a little extra guidance and patience. When I feel scared—like when I hear loud noises or see something unfamiliar—I might freeze and lie flat on the ground or try to run away. That’s why it’s very important that I wear both a collar and a harness, and always be double-leashed for my safety. I walk much better in quieter areas where I feel more relaxed. I’m a gentle and quiet soul—I rarely bark, and I know how to rest peacefully in my kennel. I prefer doing my business outside, but I’m also comfortable pottying indoors when needed.    MY IDEAL HOME  I’m looking for a patient, loving family who can help guide and let me become my best self. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family who can provide me with a calm, structured, and safe environment. A family who likes to do outdoors activities and spend time together. A family who is willing to shower me with love and affection. A family who is familiar with shy dogs. I know I have so much potential in me and just need time and patience to come out of my shell. Understanding my love for food and willing to guide me with positive reinforcement training so I learn to be more patient around other dogs while eating.   SPECIAL NOTES I’m a sweet girl who’s been through a lot in life, and because of that, I can be shy at first. I just need a little patience, gentle encouragement, and a safe space to open up. The volunteers and staff who care for me know that underneath my quiet and cautious exterior is a truly affectionate and loving soul. I may take a bit of time to trust, but once I do, I’ll blossom into the kind of loyal, gentle companion you’ll cherish. I know that with the right forever family by my side, I’ll have the chance to truly thrive.   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here!Duksil's YouTube Playlist ##2478021##
