Name: Woosuk Age: 6 months Gender: Male Neutered: Yes Breed: Mixed Breed Color: Brown-Beige Mix Weight: 9kg Height (at shoulder): 40cm Personality & Temperament: Woosuk is a gentle, calm, and sensitive pup with a reserved personality. While he can be shy around new people, especially adult men, he’s never reactive—just cautious. It took him about three weeks to fully settle into his foster home, and he now follows routines comfortably. He’s not a barker and rarely growls, even when feeling uncertain. Sudden movements or loud noises from young children can make him uncomfortable, though he tolerates them quietly. With slow introductions and gentle consistency, Woosuk opens up and begins to trust. After a month, he even began wagging his tail for the adult male in his foster home. Though reserved, he has a playful side—he enjoys tug toys, plushies, and chasing during walks. He doesn’t guard food or toys and has never shown any signs of aggression. Woosuk may prefer a quieter home without small children or with older kids who understand his sensitivity. Socialization with Dogs & Cats: • Approaches other dogs politely but doesn’t engage in play. • Prefers calm dogs and avoids those with high energy. • If another dog behaves aggressively or playfully pushes boundaries, Woosuk tends to walk away rather than engage. • Shows curiosity toward cats on walks but is easily redirected by his handler. Walks & Outdoor Behavior: Woosuk enjoys outdoor activities at a moderate energy level. He loves running during walks and is most comfortable during early morning or late-night strolls. His leash manners are excellent—he doesn’t pull and follows his person calmly. He often stops to sniff, so walks are a mix of movement and exploration. He prefers to go potty outside and has good bathroom habits. He also uses pee pads indoors as needed, though he typically holds it if a walk is delayed. Travel & Car Behavior: Woosuk was prone to motion sickness when first rescued. With regular short drives, he’s become more comfortable and now enjoys short car trips. He’s calm in a kennel and stays relaxed once inside the vehicle but needs to be carried in due to nervousness. Home Life & Habits: • No separation anxiety—rests quietly when alone. • Sleeps independently, often on soft blankets, clothing, or the sofa (he can jump up on his own). • Loves cozy spaces and often chooses to lie on the foster parent’s clothes or bedding. • Doesn’t whine for food or try to steal from people’s plates. • Tolerates baths and brushing, although he finds the hairdryer scary • Enjoys soft hand play and tug toys, and does not mouth or nip. Ideal Home: Woosuk would thrive in a calm, patient home that understands his need for a slow introduction to new people and environments. He’d do best with adults or older children who respect his boundaries and allow him to come out of his shell at his own pace. A home with a gentle resident dog would be fine. With time, love, and a little quiet encouragement, Woosuk will make a loyal, peaceful, and affectionate companion.
