My story

Meet MAKUNA! He is a gentle soul who came to us after the passing of his beloved owner. Around 10 years old, he’s slowly learning to trust again and is ready to find a quiet, loving home where he can feel safe and cherished. Though understandably shy at first, with a little time and patience, Makuna reveals his sweet, affectionate nature. He loves having his face and head scratched, and he’ll even flop over for the occasional belly rub — a true sign of trust! Once he’s comfortable, he becomes a purring machine and will even chirp softly when excited. Makuna is calm and quiet by nature. He previously lived with other cats and would likely thrive with a friendly, gentle resident cat to help build his confidence — as long as introductions are slow and respectful. He would do best in an adult-only home or one with older, calm children who can give him the space and time he needs to settle in. Makuna is ready to begin a new chapter — one filled with quiet companionship, soft pets, and the kind of love that lasts a lifetime. Makuna is located in Long Beach, NY. He is neutered, UTD on shots, and FIV/FeLV negative.
