My story

Don’t let the “senior” label fool you, Kordell’s still got plenty of pep in his step! This charming gentleman has the energy to enjoy longer walks and the heart to make every moment count. He loves people and isn’t shy about asking for attention, expect gentle nudges and lots of tail wags. While he may appreciate a slow intro when meeting other dogs, once he's comfortable, he settles in just fine. Kordell is the perfect mix of spirited and sweet, and he’s ready to find his forever person to share all his love (and his steps!) with! Here's some notes from his foster: Kordell is such a darling, funny little character! His crooked smile and attitude are impossible to ignore! This sweet potato is truly special. He’s been with us for a week, and we have not had one potty incident, not even on the first day, which is when it can often happen. He is a dream at bedtime. He curls right up and goes to sleep and doesn’t wake up until 7 -8 am. He’s a bit of a finicky eater, but after a few days, we figured it out. I’ve always thought of Chihuahuas as having nervous energy and that they bark a lot. Well, Kordell has completely debunked this myth for me! He’s the most relaxed, chill little guy with really calm energy. Over one week, I have heard him bark twice, and they were totally legitimate barks! He was just saying hello to friends on the street. He’s very easy to walk and loves being down here on the coast. There’s so many fun new things to smell! He has a lot of energy on his walks, but he’s very happy being a lazy bones at home. He does have a trademark move that clearly works for him… he loves to walk in front of you and roll over on his back for belly rubs. Beware, he will do this spontaneously! Lol! He’s seriously the cutest little guy and a sweet sensitive soul. He would make a wonderful addition to any family, especially one who has time for lots of extra loves and cuddles. He definitely likes his people and wants to be included. He’s has changed my life long opinion of chihuahuas!
