My story

Meet Squeegee, our brave and beautiful 3-year-old survivor! This sweet girl spent some time in the clinic battling parvo—and she beat it like a champ. Go, big strong girl! Now that she’s healthy and feeling great, Squeegee is ready to leave her past behind and start her next chapter with a forever family by her side. Squeegee is friendly, affectionate, and focused, with a heart full of love and a mind eager to please. She already knows “sit” and is the kind of dog who really tunes in to her people—making her a joy to spend time with and a great candidate for continued training. Whether it’s long walks, weekend hikes, or just being your loyal sidekick, Squeegee is ready to join you on a lifetime of adventures. She’s overcome so much and is more than ready to find the happy ending she deserves. Could that be with you?Squeegee would love to meet any potential canine siblings! Our staff will carefully handle all dog-to-dog introductions at the shelter to ensure a great match. Feel free to bring your pup along when you come to meet her!Squeegee was able to go on a Dog Day Out and this is what they had to say, `I had such a sweet companion today! Squeegee and I spent her dog day out having a sweet, laid back time together. First we stopped at the park and walked the trails. She did so well on the leash, and was such a brave girl exploring new terrain. She needed a treat or 2 to cross the wooden walking bridges, but she did it! Then we went to my house to spend some time relaxing in the backyard and continued to enjoy the beautiful weather. After relaxing in the sun and sniffing around, we decided it was time to get even more comfy and more relaxed inside. She even let me pamper her a bit and I gave her a bath. We watched the Lion King and at first she laid on the floor, but eventually decided she’d like to cuddle with me. She never had an accident in the house or tried to chew on anything! Squeegee is an angel and would make the perfect companion!`Squeegee is spayed, microchipped, up to date on her vaccinations, and ready for her forever home! Squeegee is living in a foster home. In an effort to help dogs with longer stays, those who are deteriorating in the shelter environment, or who are harder to place find homes more quickly, the adoption fee for this dog has been waived.
