My story

Emerson is an incredibly sweet and gentle girl who is looking for a second chance at a safe, loving home. At around 10 months old, she’s the perfect mix of young and playful with a calm, affectionate spirit. She absolutely loves attention, thrives on affection, and is especially motivated by food—so training and bonding with her will be a joy! Emerson came to us from Texas as part of a flood relief effort, and while we don’t know much about her past, it’s clear she has a heart full of love to give. She’s been nothing but gentle and loving, and she adores carrying around her soft teddy bears. She seems like she would do well with other dogs, and we’d be happy to help with slow, thoughtful introductions. She currently has an injury to one of her front paws—nothing is broken, but she may benefit from a splint or some supportive care to help regain strength. Because of this, she is available as a foster-to-adopt, so we can continue monitoring her recovery together while she settles into a home environment. If you’re looking for a soft soul to share your heart and home with, Emerson is ready to be your best friend, couch buddy, and cuddle companion. All of our dogs are dewormed, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm tested if they are old enough.
