My story

PLEASE VISIT THIS WEBSITE TO FIND THE ADOPTION QUESTIONNAIRE: http://www.homewardtrails.org/adopt-a-pet/adoption-forms/ HOW TO MEET THIS ANIMAL: Fill out the application and we will follow up with you! We will connect you to his foster! LOCATION: Foster home ADOPTION COORDINATOR: Sue B (sueb@homewardtrails.org) ADOPTION FEE: The adoption fee for this dog: $595 ESTIMATE WEIGHT FULL GROWN: 45 lbs is our best guess ESTIMATED AGE: 8 weeks of age on 8/16/25 KNOWN WITH DOGS: A typical puppy - friendly, outgoing, playful and curious. Loves other dogs so would do well in a home with another one…or can be an only pup if you promise to get him some friends! KNOWN WITH CATS: Betty is great with cats. She hangs out with her foster cat brother all the time and likes to touch noses. She is totally respectful and does NOT chase or bark. She’s the perfect friend to kitties. KNOWN WITH KIDS: Great but all puppies chew and nip and must learn limits. So with young children and puppies, we look for adults to ensure the pups and children are trained at the same time to be respectful and gentle. We love having pups grow up with kids! KNOWN COMMANDS: None solid yet but starting to learn what it means to come and get a treat! Food is always a great motivator when teaching new pups new tricks! KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: Pups at this age are starting to get crate trained for short periods of time, learn paper training and learn about the outdoors. So any adopter will need to full invest on all these stages..but this litter is off to a great start with wonderful fosters! KNOWN LIKES: Playing, treats, napping, chewing and romping in the sun. KNOWN DISLIKES: None know so far. ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: One a number of puppies from a mixed litter. Raised by two moms in rural Virginia, we are not even sure which dog was the mom but we love teamwork of these two female dogs who had their pups and kept them alive together. A typical happy mixed breed pup looking for that loving family! The foster can’t say enough great things about this nugget. HT ADOPTION INCLUSIONS: Spay/Neuter (all adult dogs and if option chosen for puppies) First 3 distemper series vaccines and de-wormings Microchip - lifetime with no registration fees Current on heartworm preventative Current on flea/tick preventative EXCLUSIVE ADOPTER BENEFITS: Free first exam with: Caring Hands Animal Hospital, Palisades Veterinary Clinic, Jermantown Animal Hospital and Clarendon Animal Care and all VCA Animal Hospitals (VCA offers $250 coverage - details provided) Free online workshop with a professional dog trainer at Fur-Get Me Not within the first 30 days of adopting (in DC/Arlington/Alexandria only) A portion of EVERY ADOPTION fee supports spay/neuter for animals in under-resourced communities BE A FOSTER: Save a life: http://www.homewardtrails.org/foster-a-pet/dog-and-cat-foster-program.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Trinity, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
