My story

We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs home leaving on 8/8/25 to NorCal, OR, WA, ID, and CO. We are combining our Trip up north with our trip cross country this time, so surrounding states will be added to our route as needed ☺️ We would love to add Lizzie to our trip for the right home! Meet Lizzie! She is a beautiful purebred shih tzu. She turns 1 on 12/20/25. She weighs right above the 11 lb mark. She still has a little more growth left, but not much. She is at a healthy weight as of now😊 She is spayed, current on all vaccines, microchipped, had a wonderful exam with our vet, and has been offically been cleared to find a home all her own ❤️ She is a beautifully tempered and HAPPY girl! She is ALWAYS ready to meet a new friend, whether a new animal, or a new person 💕 She is always expecting everyone to love her in return and will greet you with a wagging tail, kisses, and would never turn away a snuggle even if she has just met you!!! She is an amazingly sweet soul and we are so excited to share her with you!!! She is house trained, and goes outside to use the restroom throughout the day every 3 hours or so when asked to. She does very well with a good routine so we encourage for her new family to do the same for her. She is smart, and catches on very quickly so whatever you schedule ends up being she will adapt and follow suit told fit into what works for you as well 😊 She is crate trained, and currently sleeps in her crate at night. She wouldn't mind being in a bed aside yours, or in bed with you but we want to leave that up to her new adopting family ❤️ Whatever the sleeping arrangement becomes she will be fine with your decision 😁 She is leash trained, and LOVES walks. She is a very adventurous little girl who is always ready to stroll around the neighborhood. She is happy just being with you outside of the home whether by foot, or by car. She loves it all! She is an amazing little traveler and will sleep in her bed, or car seat gazing out the window until you arrive wherever you are heading to no matter the distance. She is just there to keep you company every second of every moment she is allowed to ❤️ She is phenomenal with all animals; and people alike. I can't emphasize that enough. She is naturally a socialite, so if you are looking for an outgoing friendly girl to share your life with, SHE is YOUR girl! If you have another animal, or two at home, GREAT! If not, that's okay too! She is just happy being with you too! She isn't hard to make happy, and is extremely easy to please so adding her to your life will come so naturally that it'll feel as if she has always been there. She is not a barker, and doesn't care about noises around her much. She will go and investigate things she may be unfamiliar with, but she doesn't react negatively by barking at all. She is very trusting, and innocently natured 💕 It'll be your job to keep her safe, and make sure she never loses what makes her who she is, because she is that great! Her previous owners were a very young couple who got her as a puppy at 8 weeks old. They were in a pet friendly apartment then, but then had to relocate due to work and couldn't find a place that accepted her in time. They loved her immensely and it shows!! They really did an incredible job with her ❤️ They didn't want her to end up in the wrong hands, so they asked us to take her in and find her the best home with the best family so here we are doing just that 😊 Her adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of her adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/lizzieLizzie ❤️ It covers her spay, vaccines, microchip/registration, antibiotic injection given to aid in her spay, her exam with our vet, the care involved in the few months she has been with us, her grooming costs, and training we have personally done with her 💕 (Her hair was dyed pink coming to us, but it's fading away as to why you see a few pink highlights on her legs still. Her tail is still very pink, but if you ask me it matches her vibrant personality and looks quite cute on her!)

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Lizzie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
