My story

Gorgeous Gal!Meet QUINN! What’s better than a smart German Shepherd Dog (GSD) or a cute, fluffy puppy? A GSD puppy, of course! Quinn is a 16 week-old (born March 23rd) purebred GSD that was surrendered to Tara’s House when her owner’s chronic illnesses prevented her from giving Quinn what she needs and deserves.    Quinn is smart. She is also super sweet and loves all people and dogs that she’s met so far in her foster home. Like most working dogs she loves to learn. She already knows basic commands (sit, down, come, etc.) and has great recall. She is very dog friendly and is enjoying living on a horse farm at her foster home where she can run, play with other dogs and explore. She will do best in a home with other dog(s) or a human that is home most of the time and can continue her learning journey and keep her mind stimulated along with her body being exercised.   Quinn is mastering her house training now that she’s in a foster home. (No more puppy pads for this smart girl!) She’s learning to use a doggie door and sleeps on a dog bed surrounded by other dogs at night. She does fine in a crate when needed and is learning to self-sooth when her human isn’t within eyesight.    German Shepherds are known for their intelligence, loyalty, and courage. They are also energetic, confident, and highly trainable, making them excellent working dogs and family companions. Their protective nature and wariness of strangers can be a benefit for guarding, but early socialization is important to prevent excessive wariness. Quinn’s foster family is providing the socialization and love…her future adopter will take it from there and enjoy a lifetime of loyalty and love from this beautiful girl.   Quinn’s adoption donation fee is $500, which includes spay/neuter, routine vetting and a microchip. You can apply for Quinn by filling out our online application, which is found on our website www.tarashouse.org.  Please email us at info@tarashouse.net with any questions.July 30, 2025, 2:05 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Quinn, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
