My story

Meet Honey, a 1-year-old sweetheart who`s still finding her footing in the big, noisy shelter. It’s all a little overwhelming right now—but we know with time, patience, and love, her true personality will shine bright.Once Honey feels safe, her affectionate and playful side starts to bloom. She loves toys, adores cuddle time, and will happily soak up all the affection you can give. Tell her she’s a good girl or how cute she is, and you’ll be rewarded with the most heart-melting wiggle butt you’ve ever seen. She’s already showing off some great leash manners and is making wonderful progress each day. Honey just needs a family who’s willing to give her the time and reassurance she needs to fully settle in and thrive. We know the reward of watching her blossom will be worth every second.Honey would love to meet any potential canine siblings! Our staff will carefully handle all dog-to-dog introductions at the shelter to ensure a great match. Feel free to bring your pup along when you come to meet her! She thinks cats are a little too interesting, so a feline-free home would be the perfect fit!Honey was able to go on a Dog Day Out recently and here is what they had to say, `Honey was so SO sweet! She is most definitely more on the timid side, but I went at her pace. Started with sniffs and then got to know each other over a pup cup! Once she got comfortable she definitely loves being in your space. She loves to run and play but will follow you anywhere around the house. She loves the windows down in the car, belly rubs, back scratches, and will let you know with a paw on your arm when she’d like some pets.
