My story

My foster writes:Clyde is a sweet, small boy with ginormous cheeks that he loves to rub on you. He was anxious in the shelter--and took exactly 24 hours to come out of his shell when I got him home! Now he's totally laid-back. He loves rolling around and batting his mice on the carpet, he vocally requests food and pets, and he's constantly purring. Then he curls up in a small space to sleep. Clyde is decidedly a "bush dweller," as we say. Favorite spots include the space under my bed, right below my pillow; the bathtub; and under any chair or table (from where he can see all but is invisible, of course). He's pretty low maintenance--he has endless love to give but also likes chilling by himself.Clyde has ankle socks in the front (like a Millennial) and tall socks in the back (like Gen Z). His fur is thick, soft, and sleek. And he previously lived in a home with 15 cats! He will be a wonderful family member. What my friends at ACC say about me:I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy! My purr motor is always running!Clyde appreciates attention and petting but may get overstimulated, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced, adult only home. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 11.3 Age: 4yrs 3mths 2wks
