My story

Howdy from Texas! My name is Macintosh, and I am a handsome Lab / Black Mouth Cur mix, about 1 year old, 49 lbs, and I was one of 6 stray puppies born in a park in Houston. A lady was putting out food for us since our mama was too scared to be caught, but with coyotes in the area and our numbers dwindling, the 3 of us remaining were caught and sent to a foster home near San Antonio. These days we are doing great, healthy, happy, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and we are ready to find our forever families!! I am a friendly and social boy who rarely barks, and I'm great with everyone, including dogs, kids, and strangers. I have a calm demeanor and an eagerness to please, so I happily cooperate with any plan or situation, whether it's going out for a hike, a walk, a ride in the car, a family gathering with lots of guests, or simply lounging in the backyard with nothing to do. I’m there, and thrilled! I’m sweet, not kissy or slobbery, but love pets, scratches, and attention, and I adore my people!! I occasionally play with dog toys, but don't really see what all the fuss is about since I have way more fun with people. My future looks bright, and I am looking forward to being an East Coast boy, so inquire about me today! * 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.
