My story

Name: Duna Age: About 3 months (estimated birthday is April 10, 2025) Gender: Female Spayed/Neutered: Not yet Breed: Jindo mix Color: Dark brindle with adorable white “socks” Weight: 6.2kg Height (at shoulder): 38cm Rescue Story Duna was born the second daughter of a brave mother dog who guarded a scrapyard with her four puppies. At first, she was shy and overwhelmed by the changes after being separated from her mom and siblings. But she quickly blossomed into a playful, affectionate little energizer—eating well, playing with toys, and showing her gentle nature. She’s incredibly tolerant—she allows touching of her ears, paws, and tail with zero signs of nipping or discomfort. Personality & Socialization Duna loves everyone—young, old, men, and women alike. She eagerly approaches people for affection, often leaning in for pets or even rolling over to show her belly. While she hasn’t interacted with children under 13, her gentle demeanor suggests she would do well with respectful kids. She’s a true people lover—outgoing, cuddly, and expressive. She brings toys to her foster parent and gently nudges them when she wants to play, making her a smart and communicative pup. Living with Other Pets Duna is currently the only dog in her foster home and hasn’t had many chances to interact with other dogs. She tends to be cautious around unfamiliar dogs, especially large or high-energy ones. During walks, she avoids dogs that bark or approach too quickly but is more comfortable with calm dogs who give her space. In longer indoor meetups (e.g., doggie cafés), she gradually warms up and may even initiate gentle play after about 10 minutes. She shows no signs of resource guarding around water or toys. She has lived with cats for a short periods and was cautiously curious. After about 10 minutes, she felt relaxed and roamed freely around cat. However, when overexcited—especially after playing with other dogs—she may chase a running cat to play with, so supervision and slow introductions are key. Energy Level & Daily Routine Duna has a puppy energy who loves to move! She’s always ready to play with toys or ask her humans to join in. Despite this, she sleeps through the night peacefully from around 10 PM to 5–6 AM. On walks, she pulls slightly but generally follows her person’s lead. She’s more focused on sniffing than walking in a straight line, so her pace is often stop-and-go. She’s not possessive of food or toys around people or other dogs. Separation Anxiety & Crate Behavior Duna doesn’t just like people—she needs them. In her foster home, she’s never really been alone, and maybe that’s why her heart feels a little too quiet when no one’s around. She’s okay sleeping in her own bed, as long as it’s next to yours. But if you close the door and walk away, she’ll wait… and cry… and gently scratch, hoping you’ll come back. She’s not needy—she’s just full of love, and she doesn’t want to love you from a distance. . She’ll need patient training and gradual desensitization to build confidence alone. She also whines when confined to a kennel. Health & Grooming • No guarding behavior with food or toys • Good tolerance for handling: ears, paws, tail • Rarely lets out a single “woof” as a mild attention-seeking bark, but mostly quiet • Gets carsick if stressed or after vaccinations but does better when traveling on an empty stomach or with treats • Enjoys mealtime—eats kibble three times a day without fuss • Loves “nose work” walks and gazing out the window House Training & Enrichment • Fully pad-trained and very tidy indoors • Currently going through teething—redirected with tug toys Ideal Home Duna would thrive in a home with: • Someone present most of the day to help with separation anxiety • A calm resident dog or gentle, well-managed introductions if adding a second pup • An understanding family ready to continue her socialization and confidence building • A safe, loving environment where she can grow into the wonderful dog she’s meant to be Are you ready to fall in love with this cuddly, spirited sweetheart? Duna is waiting for her forever family to find her. Currently in Korea | Ready to fly for the right home! Send in your application through our website!  You can also check out her post on our Facebook or Instagram. ##2476205##
