My story

Name: Soonie (a mom of Gomsil, Ravi, Bam, Aggie) Age: 1 year Gender: Spayed Female Breed: Jindo Mix Color: White Weight: 18 kg (40 lbs) Height (shoulder): 49 cm (19 in) Rescue Story Soonie was tied up outside a village hall during Boknal (Korea’s hottest summer days), intended to be used for meat. During that time, she gave birth to four puppies — Gomsil, Bam, Ravi, and Aggie — all of whom have since been adopted into loving homes in the U.S. and Canada. Now it’s Soonie’s turn to find a forever family who will give her the love and life she truly deserves. Personality – with People Soonie is affectionate and trusting, readily accepting attention from both familiar and unfamiliar people. She gets along with men, women, and children alike. However, when she’s around other dogs, she gets so excited to play that she sometimes ignores human attention! She can be picked up and held gently, though she’s still getting used to being cuddled closely, as she hasn’t had many chances to experience it. Personality – with Other Dogs Soonie is a social butterfly who gets along with dogs of all sizes. She has a playful, spirited, and energetic play style that can be a bit overwhelming for shy or timid dogs. She thrives with active playmates and is respectful when other dogs set boundaries. If another dog gets snappy, she tends to walk away rather than escalate. Cats She hasn’t been tested with cats, but we can arrange a cat test upon request. Energy Level Soonie has a moderate energy level. She enjoys outdoor adventures and exercise but is calm and content to rest quietly afterwards. Walking Since she spent much of her early life tied up, Soonie had no experience with walks and initially pulled on the leash out of excitement. With training, she has shown great improvement. However, she may need continued leash practice after adoption, especially when adjusting to new environments. Other Notes • No food aggression toward humans or other dogs • No separation anxiety • Rarely barks • Comfortable in a kennel but may whine if she hears noises outside • Nervous about car rides and needs to be carried in • Currently trained for outdoor potty Send in your application through our website!  You can also check out her post on our Facebook or Instagram! Currently in Korea | Available for adoption to the U.S. & Canada ##2476091##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Soonie-Adoption Pending!, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
