My story

Meet Betty At around six years old, Betty is finally getting her first real taste of what it means to be a dog. After spending the early part of her life in a puppy mill, this gentle soul has been learning the ropes of home life in a loving foster home — and she’s come such a long way. Betty adores the company of other dogs, who help her feel safe and bring out her playful side. While she’s still shy and working on her confidence, her foster mom is her safe place — she’ll even hide behind her when the camera comes out. But once she knows you, she’ll let you scoop her up and carry her around with ease. She’s looking for a quiet, patient home where she can continue to blossom at her own pace. No young kids for this girl, but a calm environment and maybe a canine companion would be perfect. Betty may be reserved, but her capacity for love is endless once she feels secure. She’s ready for a soft landing and a life filled with kindness.
