My story

Hi, I’m Sunny! I’m 5 years old and just as warm and loyal as my name suggests. I’m housetrained, and if you tell me to go to my kennel, I’ll trot right in like a pro. I’m friendly and loving with my people, and I’ll let you know if strangers are around—so you can count on me to be your loyal protector.I’m a big fan of fetch (though I prefer to keep my toys to myself, thank you very much) and I absolutely love the water—swimming, splashing, you name it. Car rides aren’t really my thing, but I’m happiest when we’re together anyway. I’ve even lived with a small dog before, so I might enjoy a canine friend if we’re the right match.If you’re looking for a faithful companion who will love you, protect you, and keep life sunny, I’m your guy.~~~~~The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open every day from noon to 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). You can meet our adoptable animals at any time during open hours.In addition to our main shelter at 1855 SE Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX 78626, you can also meet adoptable dogs at our satellite location, the Red Poppy Adoptique, located at 110 W L Walden Dr, Georgetown, TX 78626.Interested in fostering a dog in need? Join our foster team at www.wilcotx.gov/390/Fostering and click on “Foster Questionnaire.”Looking for a fun way to make a difference? Try our Doggy Day Out program! Take one of our pups on an adventure for a few hours—giving them a much-needed break from the shelter while you enjoy some quality time. The program runs at both locations daily starting at noon.We always welcome your dogs to come and meet our dogs, too! We’ll see you soon at either location!
