My story

Hi! My name is Mickie Starr and I am from Arkansas. From her foster: Mickie is a real sweetheart and a joy to have around! Although shy at first, she is an independent lady that loves to be loved. She is super friendly, isn't reactive to other people or dogs, walks on a leash really well, and is great with our resident dog. She would do best in a home with another dog who loves to play, a fenced in yard to get the zoomies out and/or plenty of walks, and parents that are patient and can teach her more tricks (she has nearly mastered the "sit" command, but has not yet been crate trained). Mickie loves to be a part of the family and is an attention sponge. She will use her paws to encourage more pets when she feels it is necessary! She's quite sweet when she does this, but her nails can hurt. She might be best in a home with older children. Mickie's next favorite thing after pets and attention is toy time! She can make anything into a chew toy, so providing lots of appropriate dog toys and keeping away the inappropriate chew things is needed. Socks and towels and shoes have been fair game, but she tries to be good. Mickie has so much love to give, and she can't wait for you to say "yes" to her!
