My story

Bermuda is not just a Chihuahua, she is a whole tropical experience in a tiny, tail-wagging body. Her sweet nature radiates like island sunshine and she insists on greeting every pup and person as if they were a long-lost friend. She will welcome as many pets as you are willing to offer and believes in moderate exercise (like most of us…). “Why sprint when you can stroll and soak up the scenery?” Her signature move is melting into happy puddles of fur during belly rub sessions and it will have you convinced that petting her is a daily necessity. After all, isn’t happiness an endless summer of cuddles? Here's some notes from her foster: Bermuda is a very special girl who is just overflowing with love and affection to give to her person. She can be quite shy at first and is very wary of new people, but once she learns to trust you she will transform into the sweetest, most loyal little dog. She loves cuddles, scritches, and games of fetch. She is very well trained with pee-pads and is making great progress with housetraining. The outside world, especially strange people and dogs in particular, is still pretty scary to her, and she strongly prefers to be in her safe space (currently, our apartment). She will bark at or try to run away from unknown people and dogs, so she really needs someone who will go at her pace to help her get comfortable being outside and seeing new people.
