My story

***SPECIAL NEEDS*** PLEASE READ EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU APPLY Evie is a 1 year old catahoula leopard dog mix. She sustained some type of traumatic injury as a puppy that has left her with several permanent injuries and issues. Evie has neurological deficits that make her have a very puppylike demeanor. She loves other dogs doesn’t understand social cues from them like most would. She also doesn’t perceive danger like most dogs would, so she needs to be watched closely especially when outside or with other dogs. Evie has balance issues from this injury and falls a lot, so you need to be aware of her surroundings. Another injury Evie has is a fused right rear leg. She cannot utilize stairs and she cannot jump. She sometimes gets tired and needs to rest. The big take away from all of this is Evie needs to be in safe areas, and watched like a toddler. Evie is not on any prescription medications, but we do have her joint supplements and fish oil. I know reading through all of this it might sound like a lot, but it’s really. Evie is an amazing dog and she is so worth it. She is one of the most loved dogs that has ever come to this rescue. We really want to see her find the most loving home ever. *** we also want to note that we are looking for a very specific home for Evie because of her needs.
