My story

*** Tori is in a foster home. ***Tori #19702: black/orange tortoiseshell, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 4/17/21Cats: yesDogs: yesChildren: all ages BACKGROUND: Tori was born next to a pet shop in Huntington Beach; the store took in the cats and adopted them out. Tori was adopted by a 20-year-old still living at home; three years later, that person had a baby and couldn’t cope with needing to look after Tori as well: she stopped feeding her consistently, wasn’t cleaning her litterbox, and Tori was being ignored and yelled at. A concerned friend arranged for Tori to move to a safer temporary home and from there The Rescue House was contacted to help her out.PERSONALITY: Tori wants to be around people! She loves being around her favorite humans to the point that she’ll sleep under the covers with you on top of being a happy lap cat. (She’ll let you touch her tummy, it’s not a trap, but she really isn’t a fan of it and would rather you avoid that area.) When she yawns, Tori makes a little meow noise at the end… it’s so cute! Cardboard boxes are highly appealing. She likes to play and is curious and inquisitive… in classic cat style, Tori will knock something off a table just to watch it fall. However, she’s a bit on the clumsy side and doesn’t show classic cat balance. Most of all, Tori wants to be included in your life.COMPATIBILITY: Tori’s first best friend was a miniature Husky; she is comfortable with cat-knowledgeable dogs and with cats and is tolerant with respectful children. Tori deserves people who won’t take advantage of her sweet nature and will welcome her as a true and permanent member of the family. Will you adopt this treasure of a cat?
