My story

We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs home leaving on 8/9/25 to NorCal, OR, WA, ID, and CO. We are combining our Trip up north with our trip cross country this time, so surrounding states will be added to our route as needed ☺️ We would love to add Bridget to our trip for the right home 💕 Meet our beautiful girl Bridget. She is a purebred toy poodle weighing in at 5.8 lbs. Yes, she is full grown and at a very healthy weight. She turned 3 years of age on 6/2/25. She is spayed, current on her vaccines, microchipped, had a dental cleaning done at time of her spay, and had a wonderful physical exam with our vet who has cleared him to find a home all her own 💕 She is crate trained, and currently sleeps in her crate at night very peacefully. Now, she does love the company of being able to bunk with another dog so if you don't have any pets at home that sleep in the crate, I would either allow her to sleep in a bed close to yours, or in bed with you if you are okay with her there ❤️She is a dog that feels most secure being in the presence of another living soul, and if that is just YOU then she will be at peace with that ❤️ She is house trained, and goes outside every 3-4 hours when asked to if she needs to. We always accompany her due to her small size, and the wildlife we have here where we live. She isn't one to stay outside longer than necessary unless she is hanging with you while you tend to the yard. She is very easy going: and just wants to be near you enjoying her time in your presence 😊 Leash training is something she is still learning confidence in but overall is getting better with each and every day. She loves being held, so if she had the choice to be in your arms or walking she will always choose to be in your arms snuggled up. She will learn to love walks alongside her human, I'm sure of it. It will just take some time, and patience for her to realize it 😊 She is wonderful with dogs and cats alike. She is very well mannered and naturally submissive to other animals. She doesn't really “play” with them but she does offer great company if you happen to have a friend at home she would be joining in life. If not, that's okay too! Being the center of your world will fill her heart always ❤️ She is not a barker, and is very quiet all around. She has a very serene tempermeant, and is not high energy whatsoever. She likes to hang out and just relax for the majority of the day. She will follow you around out of curiosity of what you may have going on but then she will find her way back to her bed and hang right til something new happens that catches her curiosity. She truly is that one sweet friend you need in your life, to fill your days with the joy of having such sweet company 💕 She is wonderful on road trips and loves laying in her bed window side. She doesn't mind how long the trips are whether around town, or out of town she is always ready to hit the road with you. She loves her spa days, and is always ready for a new fresh look so that you can tell her just how pretty she is when she comes home. Our groomer adores her and is always happy to get her dolled up, and will squeeze in extra snuggles when she can 😁 She came from a family that had bought her and her sister Gidget (who has found an amazing home) from a local breeder here where I live when they were puppies. The breeder was closing her program and couldn't take the girls back in when their owner couldn't keep them, so she reached out to us to help the family. Her adoption fee is at the bottom of her adoption listing on our website at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/bridgetBridget 💕 It covers her spay, vaccines, microchip/registration, dental cleaning, her exam with our vet, the care involved in the months she has been with us, her grooming costs, and training we have been personally doing with her.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Bridget, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
