My story

Colby is a gentle, playful girl with a heart as soft as the blankets she loves to nap on. Though she can be a little shy at first, Colby quickly warms up when treats are involved—especially if they’re chicken, crab, scallop, or cheese flavored (Churu is her favorite!).She’s a spirited little hunter when it comes to her butterfly toy and loves to wrestle with her brother Cheddar during playtime. Colby also has a nurturing side—she adores giving sweet bath-time cuddles to her surrogate mama, Coral.With a bit of patience and plenty of treats, Colby’s shy side melts away to reveal a loving companion who’s happiest curled up in a cozy spot or snuggled next to her favorite feline friends. She’d thrive in a calm home with one of her siblings by her side!Almost Home adopts kittens under 6 months of age in pairs, as kittens that young are not fully socialized and need a same/similar-age playmate in order not to become a nuisance to family members—including other pets in the home. Adopting kittens in pairs allows them to complete the kitty socialization process, learn good kitty manners, and have a playmate so their humans can sleep at night.
