My story

ALL ABOUT ME Name: Lula Age: Around 4 years old Gender: Female Spayed/Neutered: Yes Breed: Shiba Colour: Chestnut brown Weight: 7kg /15.4lbs Microchipped: Yes   MY RESCUE STORY Hi there! My name is Lula. I was rescued from a puppy mill, and at the time of my rescue, I had four little puppies by my side. They've all found their forever homes, and now it’s finally my turn! After everything I’ve been through, I’m ready to start a new chapter with a loving family who will give me the care and happiness I’ve always deserved.   MY HEALTH Fully vaccinated (5-round series complete) I’ve been neutered and have no known health issues.   MY PERSONALITY I may be a little shy when we first meet, but with a little patience and love, I’ll slowly start to open up. I’m still discovering the world around me since I spent most of my life in a small cage, but I’m learning more each day. Once I feel safe, I’ll become your loyal little shadow, quietly following you around with my signature Shiba charm. I’ve got that sweet, independent spirit that makes me both adorable and endearing!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS With People: I can be a little timid when meeting new people, but with a few treats and a little patience, I warm up quickly and start accepting gentle pets. I’m happy to take treats from strangers, even if I’m not ready for cuddles right away—I just need a bit of time to build trust. I can be picked up, and while I’m not a fan of water (typical Shiba behavior!), I handle gentle tub baths much better now. I never guard my food around people and prefer to keep things peaceful and calm. With the right mix of patience and love, I’ll become a devoted and affectionate companion.   With Dogs:  When it comes to other dogs, I’m polite and happy to say a quick hello, but overall, I prefer to do my own thing. I’m pretty independent and enjoy my personal space. I don’t guard my food around other dogs, but if one is being too pushy or rude, I’m not afraid to stand my ground. Because of that, I do best with slow, supervised introductions when meeting new dog friends.   With Cats:  I haven’t met any cats yet so my reaction is unknown.   ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES I have a moderate energy level and love finding the perfect balance between adventurous outdoor explorations and cozy, peaceful moments spent relaxing indoors. Whether I’m sniffing new scents on a gentle walk or curling up in a sunny spot at home, I’m happy as long as I’m with you.   TRAINING & HABITS I walk well on leash and usually follow my handler’s lead nicely—though sometimes I’ll pull or suddenly stop when something catches my attention (Shiba instincts, of course!). I’m a quiet girl who rarely barks and know how to rest calmly in my kennel. I don’t guard my food with people or dogs. I prefer to do my business outside because I like to keep my space clean, but I do know how to use a pee pad indoors if I need to. With a consistent walk routine, I’ll happily transition to pottying outdoors full-time.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m looking for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that offers a safe, structured, and calm environment. A family that enjoys spending quality time together indoors & outdoors. A family that can shower me with love and attention. A family who is understanding of my past and willing to be patient and kind while I come out of my shell.   SPECIAL NOTES I’m still figuring out this big, wide world—everything is so new to me after coming from a life where I was kept in a small cage. I may be a bit timid at first, but I have so much love and potential just waiting to bloom. I’m curious and gentle, and while I might not be ready for pets right away, I’m still brave enough to greet new people and accept treats with my little tail wagging. When I feel unsure, I find comfort in my kennel, my little safe haven. With about a week of patience and a calm, loving environment, I know I’ll come out of my shell and show you the sweet, loyal girl I truly am. I just need someone to go at my pace and help me feel safe as I take the next steps toward the happy life I deserve.   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here!Lula’s YouTube Playlist ##2474349##
