ALL ABOUT ME Name: Mongsil Age: Approximately 5 years old Gender: Female Spayed/Neutered: Yes Breed: Spitz mix Colour: Brown Weight: 10kg / 22 lbs Microchipped: yes MY RESCUE STORY Hi there! I’m Mongsil, and I’m on a brand new journey to find the forever family I’ve always dreamed of. I was rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation, but thanks to some kind-hearted people, I finally have the chance to start over. Life is already so much brighter, and I’m learning what it feels like to be safe, cared for, and loved. Now, I’m ready to open my heart to a family who will cherish me and give me the fresh start I deserve. MY HEALTH Fully vaccinated (5-round series complete) I’ve been neutered and have no known health issues. MY PERSONALITY When you first meet me, the first thing you’ll probably notice is my unique beauty—my soft brown fur and big, butterfly-like ears (some say I look like a Papillon!). But beneath that lovely appearance is a gentle, sensitive soul who’s still learning how to feel safe in this big, new world. I came from a life of neglect, so everything is still very new to me. I can be quite shy at first, but I’ll still take treats politely from your hand and watch you with curious eyes. With a little patience and a lot of love, I know I’ll blossom into a devoted companion who sticks by your side and brings so much quiet joy to your life. MY SOCIAL SKILLS With People: I’m a shy girl, and I’ll thrive best with a family who’s patient, gentle, and understands the needs of a fearful dog like me. My past wasn’t easy—I came from a life of neglect—so I’m still learning to be brave and navigate the world one small step at a time. I’m not the type to dive right into cuddles, but I’ll gladly take treats from your hand, and with a little time and trust, I’ll start to accept soft, gentle pets. I can be a bit suspicious of strangers at first and will need a few days to a week to feel truly comfortable in a new environment. I prefer not to be picked up until we’ve built a strong bond—but the good news is, I don’t guard my food against people. With time, love, and patience, I’ll become a loyal and loving companion who’s so worth the wait. With Dogs: When it comes to other dogs, I’m more of an introvert at heart. I enjoy doing my own thing and tend to keep to myself rather than seeking out playtime right away. I’m perfectly fine being around other pups—as long as they’re polite and give me a bit of space. If another dog is being too pushy, I’m not afraid to stand my ground, so slow and thoughtful introductions work best for me. Once I feel safe and comfortable, I may surprise you by showing a playful side with the right doggy friend! I don’t guard my food around other dogs and thrive best in a calm, respectful environment. With Cats: I haven’t met any cats yet, so my reaction is unknown. ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES I have a lovely, moderate energy level that makes me the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. I truly enjoy spending time outside—sniffing around, exploring new scents, and soaking in the fresh air. But once I’ve had my outdoor fun, I’m more than happy to head back inside, curl up in a cozy spot, and enjoy some peaceful snuggle time. TRAINING & HABITS I’m still learning how to be confident on leash and would really benefit from some patient guidance as I continue building my skills. I tend to pull when I want to explore in my own direction, and I feel more comfortable walking in quieter, calmer areas. Busy streets and sudden noises can scare me, and when I’m frightened, I might try to bolt—so it’s absolutely essential that I’m always double-leashed to both a secure harness and collar, with a GPS tracker for extra safety. I’m a very quiet girl and prefer doing my business outdoors. I also know how to settle calmly in my kennel. With the right support, training, and some decompression time in a new home, I know I’ll grow more confident every day. MY IDEAL HOME I’m looking for a patient, loving family who can help guide me as I grow. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family who is understanding of shy dogs and willing to guide me with patience and love. A family who will shower me with love and affection. A family who provides safe and structured environment. A family who understands my fear of loud noises and sudden movements, and who can be extra mindful during our walks together. To keep me safe, I must always be double-leashed—secured with both a harness and collar—especially as I continue to build my confidence. Your patience and attentiveness will help me feel safe as I navigate the world at my own pace. SPECIAL NOTES I’m still learning to navigate this big, sometimes scary world after coming from a neglected background. Loud noises and sudden movements can frighten me, so I’ll need a calm, patient family who understands shy, sensitive dogs like me. When I feel overwhelmed, I prefer to retreat to my kennel to feel safe. I walk better in quiet areas, and when I get scared, I may try to bolt—so it’s very important that I’m always double-leashed (with both a harness and collar) and wearing a GPS tracker during walks. I’ll need time to decompress in a new home, and slow introductions—both with people and other dogs—will help me thrive. With a gentle routine, lots of reassurance, and a little guidance, I know I’ll continue to grow into a loyal and loving companion.
