My story

PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.****URGENT**** At risk of euthanasia! Central AR foster or adopter needed ASAP!! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143‍&#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143‍ Who remembers, Balerion, the big cuddly Neapolitan Mastiff we rescued last summer? &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143‍&#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143‍ He was adopted by an adoring family who is heartbroken to realize that their home is not the right fit for him. He has started to show aggression towards other dogs in the home. His aggression is towards other dogs only, never people. He doesn’t understand how huge he is, and loves to show affection with his paws. This could result in his inadvertently harming a small child. He is in need of a home with no cats, no other dogs, and no small children. If we’re unable to provide this, he could be facing euthanization. We do NOT come to that decision quickly, or easily. Help us find him a home so that we can completely eliminate that from the equation. He is approximately 1 1/2 years old, neutered, vaccinated, and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. The Neapolitan Mastiff is a large and powerful guardian. They can be wary of strangers, and very protective of their people. This breed requires an experienced owner who is a firm, strong leader, that will set boundaries. Located in Arkansas. We’d prefer to keep him in AR but may be willing to transport him to the northeast to the right home. To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions, or message me directly.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
