My story

*** Jericho is in our Petco Mira Mesa adoption center. ***Jericho #19653: brown/black tabby, short hair, neutered male, born approx. 3/17/22Cats: no, must be soloDogs: noChildren: savvy elementary+ BACKGROUND: Jericho’s guardian had fallen on hard times and was facing eviction from her current residence; the only place she could find to move did not allow pets. A coworker knew of The Rescue House, and Jericho moved into our care to find a new family who will love him just as much but be in a more stable situation.PERSONALITY: Jericho will talk to you and meow his sweet greetings, rubbing against your legs or the doorway to express his happiness when you come in the room. He enjoys a variety of interactions and petting. He is so excited about attention that he can sometimes get overstimulated and may give you a love bite at those times. Since he needed to be kept separate from the other cats in his foster home, he has not had the undivided attention he would prefer; this was not a problem in his former home and we think it could likely decrease or go away once he is a full member of his forever family and never feels lonely or ignored. Jericho was accustomed to being an integral member of the household and was very close to the elementary-aged boy in his first family… they loved to watch TV together, play together, sleep together. He wants to find that again!COMPATIBILITY: Jericho needs to be an only cat; while dogs are unknown, we think it more likely he should be the only fur-child in his home. He would love a family with savvy elementary-aged kids and up.Will Jericho sweet talk his way into your heart and home?
