Nyla is a loving, trusting, sweet girl who thinks there's nothing better than just being around her people. She'll cozy up in your lap and let you pet her to your heart's delight and when visitors come to call, she's not shy about asking for more pets. This couch potato is quiet but will put a smile on your face as she parades around with a mouth full of toy mice or fuzzy balls while vocalizing to proclaim her victory over them. Nyla is accustomed to living indoors with teens and adults, got along well with a canine buddy, but has mixed feelings when it comes to being with other cats. If you already have a feline friend, slow introductions are a must for cats. This kitty has been a mother to many kittens in her previous life and is looking forward to, at last, having some "me" time in her next home. She is a polydactyl kitty with extra toes, so she looks like she's wearing mittens, even during this 100 degree summer. Nyla will need a pet-i-cure from time to time to keep her tootsies tidy and comfy. Looking for a cat who's the whole package? Sweet Nyla is definitely your girl! Ready to Adopt? You have two options: #1- VISIT IN PERSON Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You’ll be able to meet available cats in the shelter. (Cats in foster care are not available for in-person visits.) #2- ADOPT REMOTELY OR PLACE A 24-HOUR HOLD** If you’re ready to adopt without meeting the cat first, or you’d like to place a non-refundable $25 hold to reserve a cat for 24 hours, just call or email us: (413) 781-4000 x 1 springfield@dakinhumane.org.
