My story

Meet Maxwell — aka Max, Maxie, Maxine, or Paxy Waxy! Max’s story is one of resilience, trust, and love. When first found as a scared, feral kitten, Max had no reason to trust people. He was terrified, defensive, and fighting to survive. But with time, patience, and countless hours of gentle interaction, Max learned that humans can mean safety, love, and chin scratches. Now, a little over a year old, Max has blossomed into a playful, silly, and loving boy. He still has a cautious side, but once you earn his trust, he’ll follow you like a shadow, sit close to you, and even tolerate being scooped up for kisses (though he’ll act like he doesn’t like it, we think he secretly does! ). Max absolutely lives for window time and birdwatching. He would thrive in a home with a cozy cat tree and sunny spots to perch in. He enjoys playtime and has a hilarious, goofy personality that shines brightest when he feels safe. Because Max had a rough start, he’ll need a quiet, patient home where he can adjust at his own pace. He would do fine with other cats as long as introductions are done slowly and properly. Max is fully vetted, neutered, and vaccinated—ready for his forever home. He’s been loved deeply in foster care, but he deserves more than a basement and limited window time. Max deserves a home where he can stretch out, explore, and soak up the sunshine every day.
