My story

Thank you for your interest in adopting. Charlie is a great dog! All of our dogs live in Alabama foster homes and transport to New England when they are adopted. If you are approved to adopt one of our dogs, you will speak to the foster family and you can request FaceTime, video or more pictures once your application is approved. This method of long distance adoption works for hundreds of pets every year! Every cat or dog is spayed or neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, multiple dewormings, and pet receives parasite prevention. Dogs over six months are heartworm tested, and any dog that has been through treatment is fully disclosed with medical records. All dogs live in foster homes, in a family environment. Every dog comes with its health records. We guarantee our dogs and work to place them with the right home. We want to make your adoption experience smooth and easy. Charlie, almost a year in rescue. 3 years old Good with dogs Good without dogs House trained Crate trained Good on leash Barks at cats No resource issues Not exposed to young children Eats 2 cups dog food per day & biscuits Worth adopting! Video of Charlie’s rescue at link. Copy and paste into your browser. https://www.facebook.com/share/16jE8ViM1w/?mibextid=wwXIfr Visit us on Facebook at Another Chance Dog Rescue Charlie has lived with multiple dogs since he came into Rescue and he’s always been wonderful. He has never had any resource issues with the other dogs. They share antlers, Nylabones, and toys. He is crate trained and naps sometimes or sleeps overnight in his crate. Charlie does look up to his people and enjoys lying in a dog bed in the same room. He will back at cats he sees outside, so we assume he’s never been around cats. Charlie has good energy, but he’s also happy chillin with his person. He would do best with a fenced yard. He has a wide scar on his neck from an embedded collar earlier in life. You can see it in the Facebook video. A fenced yard would mean he doesn’t have to wear anything on his neck. We have been adopting Dogs and cats to homes for 15 years. We pay a transporter for every dog we send to a New England home. We do not own the van or service. Every dog sees a veterinarian before they leave for a health check and health certificate, which also comes with a cost. Total adoption fee and investment for this handsome dog is $440 $200 adoption fee reduced $175 transport $65 health certificate Serious adopters should fill out the application online and someone will get back to you ASAP. If you have any questions or would like to adopt Charlie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
