My story

This distinguished gentleman is Emerson! He arrived at the shelter as a lost dog on 7/21, and sadly, no one has come to reclaim him. Emerson is now hoping for a new, loving home where he can spend his golden years on a comfy bed with lots of yummy treats because food is his love language! The volunteers describe Emerson and sweet, friendly, and attentive to the people around him. He still has a lot of pep in his step and is still quite athletic for being an older dog. If you can open up your heart and home to Emerson and give him the best years of his life, he'll repay you with love and sloppy kisses. Emerson is approximately 9 years old and weighs 60 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines and did test negative for heartworms. He will be neutered and microchipped upon adoption. Emerson is waiting patiently in run 53; his ID # is 12107. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
