Huey

My story

Huey was surrendered to a local rescue by a hunter who said he was "running hot" - he was panting too much and didn't have enough stamina to be successful at hunting. The rescue asked us to help because they were already overwhelmed. Cute and loving Huey is around 2 years old, 28 lbs, and good with dogs and people of all ages! He gets along well with the three dogs in his foster home and adjusts his play and interaction accordingly. Huey was a hunting dog, so as expected, he can pull on leash when on a scent. He cuddles on your lap and loves getting rubs and scratches. While he's learning how nice it is to rest on a couch, he does love to be outside! A home with a fenced in yard would be a bonus for this little guy. Huey plays ball and loves toys. He is house-trained and has been well behaved when left alone for 4 hours in his foster home. This is one special beagle! Huey is fostering south of Boston.
