My story

Meet Turq!! Don’t let his size or breed fool you – Turq is as sweet as they come! This handsome German Shepherd is a big softie who lives for affection. He’ll gladly sit by your side for all the head scratches and belly rubs you can give.Turq is incredibly smart – he already knows sit, shake, stay, and come, and he’s always eager to learn more (especially when treats are involved!) He’s motivated, focused, and loves pleasing his people.Turq can be very vocal especially when encountering other dogs but he does well with redirection and would likely thrive as the only pet in a home. He’s happiest when he has his person’s full attention and can be your one-and-only best buddy.Turq is one of our Special Care pets, meaning that he needs just a bit more love. He is currently undergoing treatment for Heartworm and will need follow up visits with the vet starting around 8/20/2025. Once he’s recovered, he’ll be ready to hit the trails, play a good game of fetch, or just hang out and enjoy life by your side.If you`re looking for a loyal, loving companion who’s full of heart and smarts, Turq is your guy.
