Christopher

My story

Christopher is a quirky little guy looking just the right person. The fluffy, non-shedding small dog that everyone wants, he has the very complicated personality that so comes with being so cute and small that everyone who meets them wants to pick up and cuddle them their whole lives. While some enjoy such treatment and many just learn to grin and bear it, dogs like Christopher learn they have to really stand up for themselves they only way they can; with their not so fluffy white teeth. Small dog syndrome, Napoleon complex, "mean", "nasty", bad attitude... dogs like Christopher accumulate lots of labels like these but deep down they are misunderstood and just trying to stand up for their doggie bill of rights: to be able to walk down the street without strangers smushing their faces and hugging them, to be able to relax in their beds in peace without being disturbed, to be able to chew their bones and eat their meals without being harassed. Less is more, and when in doubt leave him alone and let him come over for attention when he's ready. He's been hanging out in our vet room with some little doggie girl friends and getting along well, sits on our laps while we are writing dog bios and updating medical records, and when we leave the room her sits on the desk and starts walking on the keyboard typing in google searches like "how to scare away children" and "best ways to keep the mailman off your property".
