Dougal BW

My story

One of my newest fosters: Dougal the Ewok!! Have you ever met an ewok? Have we got a treat for you! Meet Dougal, an adorable Brussels Griffon mix who is ready for his loving home, willing to take care of his special needs. Dougal was found at roadside by a Good Samaritan, dazed & with such long matted fur (think huge mop) that he had to be shaved down to the skin. Best guess is that he sustained a brain injury which he has almost recovered from. He still circles when startled or excited. His eyes will occasionally roll (nystagmus). These symptoms are currently controlled by medications that he is slowly being weaned off of. (Current monthly medication cost: $6). His vision is not the best. He requires softened food. Housebreaking has not been emphasized as focus has been placed on his physical & vestibular recovery. He plays very well with dogs, loves toys, & is a total cuddle bug. His personality is goofy & upbeat. He would do best in a home without little ones who might trip over him.
