Found under a Chevy Tahoe in a downtown Houston parking garage, we suspect “Tahoe” hitched a ride underneath someone’s car during their morning commute. After living outside and braving the Houston highways, Tahoe has adjusted well to life indoors. He craves attention from his foster family. Tahoe has “kitten energy” and loves to run and play! After he’s tired himself out he will crawl into your lap for pets and a cat nap. His squeaky scratchy-sounding “meow” is sure to make you smile! Tahoe is FIV+. FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) is a virus that affects a cat’s immune system, making it harder for them to fight off infections. It’s similar to HIV in humans but only affects cats. FIV spreads mainly through bite wounds from infected cats, so outdoor cats or those in fights are at higher risk. Cats with FIV can still live long, happy lives. There’s no cure, but with good care—like regular vet visits, a healthy diet, and an stress-free indoor life—FIV-positive cats can live for years without major issues. Tahoe is looking for his forever home and hopes he is the right fit to join your family!
