It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! KAREN WILSON and her 4 siblings (JOSH RUSO - AETHENA & MAY GRANT and EDDIE DIAZ were saved from a hoarding case in Watts, California. They were all barley surviving. Our girl KAREN WILSON is doing great!! We named all the cats that were saved from that place after the characters in the show 911. Meet KAREN WILSON, a gentle and affectionate Domestic Shorthair Bombay mix from Watts, California. With her sleek black coat and soulful eyes, KAREN WILSON is the kind of cat who finds comfort in the simple things in life. She’s the perfect balance of quiet and loving, preferring serene spots to relax and cuddle up close to her favorite person. Whether she’s curling up in a peaceful corner or being lovingly carried around, KAREN WILSON is happiest when she’s with her humans, soaking in all the attention. This sweet girl has lived with cats of all ages, and her calm demeanor makes her a great companion for her feline friends. She’s especially close to her brother, JOSH RUSSO, and they enjoy hanging out together, sharing quiet moments and enjoying each other's company. Though KAREN WILSON's past may have been difficult, having lived in and outside of a drug house, she is resilient and ready to move forward in a loving and peaceful environment. She thrives in a calm atmosphere where she can feel safe and cherished. KAREN WILSON might be a little shy at first, but her loving nature and need for attention shine through once she’s comfortable. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT) 2. Fill Out Online Form 3. Submit Online Application 4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview 5. Will be notified of Approved Application 6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED) 7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty 8. Sign Adoption Contract 9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH) 10. Take the Kitty Home ********* MAY CONSIDER OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS NEAR CALIFORNIA BUT BE AWARE THAT WE WILL NOT SHIP. ADOPTER WILL NEED TO PICK UP********** JULY 2025: VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees. Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 10 am to 12 pm for cleaning ONLY. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is between 5 pm - 7 pm (Monday thru Saturday) and Sunday 4 pm - 6 pm. The VOLUNTEERS are only there in the evening for 2 hours so please call the PetSmart location, email us or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 2-hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability and store hours. Store hours change with holidays. ******************* If you call the PETSMART location, please ask them to physically check the cattery door for the current week's VISITING HOURS. ****************** The kitties in foster/rescue homes, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do the OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below. PETSMART in City of Industry, California off Colima Road in Murrieta, California off Madison Avenue in Hemet, California off Florida Avenue in Palm Desert, California off Monterey Avenue The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the phone interview and home check have been done. Gas donations always appreciated! ************* Please no calls to the rescue. No one available to take calls. ************* If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets. Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption. We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. The adoption fee of $200 covers: Spay FVRCP shots RABIES shot FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative) Drontal Dewormer Stronghold Flea Control Microchip We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens.
