My story

Maizie’s an 11yo 7.5lb Coton de Toleur. She’s dog, cat and older kid friendly. She’s housetrained when kept on a schedule and pee pad trained once she gets used to where the pee pads are. She prefers a secure fenced in yard. She likes to play with toys, be with her people and is very cuddly and affectionate once she warms up and get to know you. She’s lively and active but not hyper, likes stimulation, sweet-natured, smart, communicative, likes to socialize, likes car rides and company. Maizie’s foster requires a home, where someone is home often, so not to be left for long periods of time, a secure fenced in yard, be allowed on the furniture to cuddle with her people, and kept on a grooming schedule since her hair tends to matt easily. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far. Maizie as all dogs should have at least 2 weeks in their new home to decompress with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first. Maizie’s spayed, vaccinated, HW negative and microchipped. Currently in Hamilton, NJ. If your home meets the needed requirements and you’re interested in applying to adopt please do so at www.tprescue.org

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Maizie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
