Great companion for a playful, loving home Loves toys and especially playing ball Adapts her energy to match the household – very people-oriented Easygoing and good-natured – the classic Golden Retriever personality About Kona’s Breed: Golden Retrievers are known for their loyal, gentle, and affectionate personalities. They thrive in homes where they can be close to their people, and they’re often eager to please, making them great family pets. Kona is no exception—she’s got the heart, the fluff, and the joyful spirit that makes Goldens so beloved. Kona’s Story & Personality: Kona is a loving, joyful girl who just wants to be with her people. At 2 years old and 75 pounds, she’s full of that classic Golden Retriever charm—playful, loyal, and endlessly sweet. She loves to cuddle, has no sense of her size, and is always ready for a game of fetch or a belly rub. She’s fully housebroken and can be left alone without a crate, though she may show signs of separation anxiety if she’s left completely solo. When she has another dog around, she does just fine. Kona has a lovely moderate energy level—she’ll match your pace, whether it’s a lazy day or an active one. However, she is a bit overweight, so she’ll benefit from a family that can support her in reaching a healthier weight through activity and a balanced routine. Kona isn’t yet fully leash trained, so a fenced-in yard is ideal while she continues learning. She’s excellent with other dogs, friendly with cats, and adores children. She’s been around dogs with higher energy and, while not quite as fast-paced, she’s tried her best to keep up! She plays gently, cuddles enthusiastically, and is happiest when she’s part of a family. Kona’s Ideal Home: A home with a fenced yard for safe play and training A family who will engage in regular play and walks to support her weight-loss journey Other friendly pets would be a bonus – she thrives in good company A home where someone is around more often than not, or with other pets for companionship Children are absolutely welcome – she adores them An adopter who appreciates a cuddly, happy dog who may sometimes forget she’s not a lap dog! Ready to Welcome a Loving Golden Girl into Your Life? Kona is the perfect blend of affectionate, playful, and loyal. She’ll thrive in a home that offers companionship, activity, and plenty of love.
