My story

Name, age, breed: Moss, 3 months, Newfoundland mixLikes: Head pats, sniff walks, swimming, play time and cuddlesDislikes: Being left aloneWhat would be the ideal home? A loving home that is able to give Moss the affection and attention he needs (he loves being around people!)Good with other cats? UnsureGood with dogs? He is great with his puppy mate, he has met other dogs as well and has been greatGood with children? He has met a couple young children on walks before and has been greatTemperament: Very loveable. He gets very excited when meeting new people and loves to say hi to everyone. He is fairly active and excitable and loves playtime but also has a calm side to him and loves to nap next to you.Motivators? Treats, toys, sticks and cuddlesAny commands? He has learnt sit and will run into his crate if I point at it and say ‘crate’. I have started clicker training him, so he has learned that ‘click’ = ‘reward’ and has a solid foundation to continue clicker trainingHouse trained? Working on it, but he is still only little. He knows outside means potty but occasionally has accidentsCrate trained? Yes. He sleeps in his crate overnight and sometimes likes to go in there during the day. He also eats all his meals in his crate. He is learning the command for crate but still sometimes has to be lured in with some treats or toysHow long will it take to settle into a new environment? As long as he is around people it should take him absolutely no time to get settledAny special needs or traits an adopter should know? He is still little so definitely still needs some more training but he has the foundation to continue clicker training!Medical: Dental MalocclusionIf you think Moss is the one for you - fill out an application today!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Moss, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
