My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Stella arrived from the city pound on 7/24/25, after her legal hold was finished and no one had claimed her. She is most likely 1 to 2 years old and appears to be a shepherd/husky mix, but there could be some other breeds in there, too. She's a little shy at first but is very nice once she feels comfortable. We will need to get her vet checked and spayed soon and her fee is $150. Stella seems to be pretty well mannered and intelligent. She has had a bit of basic training but would be willing to learn more. She's a younger dog who will require regular exercise. Huskies and their mixes are sometimes known as runners, so a secure environment would be best for Stella. We do think she'd do okay with nice male dogs but have no way of knowing about cats. Kids? We think older kids would be fine.  Note:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.
