My story

Marquette is a fun-loving, high-spirited pup who’s eager to find his perfect match! After arriving as a stray, he’s been learning essential skills and showing off his bold personality in playgroups. Marquette is a star student when it comes to: Sit, Place, and polite door routines Loose-leash walking (with plenty of curiosity-fueled sniffing!) Kennel routines that show off his patience and eagerness to engage with his people He loves enrichment activities, from Kongs and food puzzles to free-roaming explorations. Marquette has also enjoyed field trips with volunteers and would be a fantastic companion for an active person or family who wants a buddy for outings and adventures. Marquette is a playful, rough-and-rowdy kind of guy who loves push-and-pull play styles. He is considered dog selective—he enjoys play with compatible, similarly energetic dogs but can be a bit pushy and sometimes ignores corrections from others. Our team can facilitate a meet-and-greet for any adopter that has another dog in the home already to ensure a good match! DPFL is also offering post-adoption support to ensure Marquette’s transition is a success. If you’re ready for a lively, loving companion who’ll keep life exciting, Marquette is waiting to meet you!
