My story

Marvelous Millie is looking for a new home where she can grow and flourish. When she arrived at the shelter, she was fearful and shut down. But with the help of our wonderful caretakers and volunteers, Millie has blossomed into a friendly and engaging gentle giant. Her favorite thing? Tennis balls! She loves to chase them across the yard, even if she doesn`t quite know how to bring them back yet. When meeting other dogs, Millie has a tendency to be a bit overbearing in her excitement to run and play with her new bestie. She could use a little help in learning the appropriate way to make new friends. If you`re looking for a big girl with a big heart to match, come on in and meet Millie today!This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff!Be sure to check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
