My story

Meet Ellie! Born in 2017, she is a young senior looking for a soft place to land. Anatolian shepherds are known to be somewhat aloof and Ellie had been part of a hoarding situation early in her life, so she takes time to warm up to people. Once she does, she will politely ask for gentle pats, shoulder rubs, and even tummy rubs. She is sweet and gentle, but does startle easily. She would be happier staying at home than accompanying you on your outings. Ellie's ideal home will have good fencing, not too many visitors, and people who appreciate having a 100+ lb. dog in their home. She does well with other dogs, but has not been tested with cats. Because she could knock someone down if she is scared, Ellie is not recommended for homes with children under age 12.
