My story

"Hello Humans! My name is Hailey, and I'm an adorable 2-month-old puppy, soon to be 3! My first birthday will be on Tuesday, June 9th, 2026. I'm a lovable mix of Plott Hound and Labrador Retriever (DNA test recommended for confirmation!). I came from a litter of 7 puppies. My mom, Heidi, is a small brindle Plott Hound mix and folks say I’m her spitting image. Currently, I live with two of my siblings, Hadley and Hatty, and we're learning the ropes from our awesome adult dog mentors. They are teaching us the best ways to steal a human's heart: pottying outside, keeping the barking to a minimum, napping in my safe place (my crate!), chewing on my toys, and showering my foster mom with puppy kisses. I LOVE to play, especially “WrestleMania” with Hadley and Hatty, but I also enjoy napping near my foster mom on the floor and couch. I am VERY treat-motivated and am already learning to sit for a tasty reward (I'm getting better every day!). I'm eager to learn and please! As a Plott Hound/Labrador Retriever mix, I should be loyal and good with families. I love to go outside, and a fenced yard would be a dream come true – I could sniff to my heart's content without worrying about getting lost. I adore children, but please remember I'm a puppy with sharp teeth and sometimes nip when I'm playing out of excitement. I am not trying to hurt anyone, just get excited and let the energy out. I'm learning to be gentle. I enjoy cuddling on the couch with my foster mom. My ideal forever home would be with a patient family who is willing to continue my training and give me lots of love and attention. A fenced yard would be fantastic, but most importantly, I need a family who will love me for who I am.
