My story

Meet Mudflap!This spunky little guy is a 3-year-old, 8-pound Yorkie/Terrier mix with a big personality packed into a tiny frame. Mudflap came to us after his owner became too ill to care for him, and now he’s looking for a fresh start with a family who understands his unique charm.Mudflap may put on a tough front when meeting new people, but it doesn’t take long for his sweet side to shine through—especially if you offer some good scratches! He loves attention once he feels safe and settled.He does better in smaller, calmer dog groups and gets overwhelmed around a bunch of excitable pups. Mudflap prefers being the most active dog in the room and isn’t a fan of high-energy dogs who steal the spotlight. He’d thrive in a home where he can stay active and have a buddy to play with—whether that’s a like-minded dog friend or a fun-loving human.If you’re looking for a loyal little companion with a playful spirit and a dash of sass, Mudflap just might be your guy.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it.
