COURTESY POST: Meet Murphy – The Energetic Snugglebug Murphy is a healthy, high-spirited, 3yo pup who brings joy and excitement to every day. Murphy is a perfect size weighing 14 pounds. Housebroken and comfortable in an apartment setting, he’s adapted beautifully to daily life without a yard, getting plenty of exercise through three one-mile walks each day. While Murphy isn't crate trained, he handles being alone in the apartment for up to five hours at a time like a champ. Personality & Training: Murphy is leash trained, though his curious nature means he might get distracted along the way—who can blame him when the world is so interesting? He’s wonderfully friendly with other dogs but has a strong dislike for cats. He hasn’t spent time around children yet, but he’s open and welcoming to visitors with a tail-wagging invitation. Cuddle Credentials: Despite his high energy, Murphy has a soft side—he adores long cuddle sessions and will happily snuggle for up to two hours straight. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
