My story

Beech is a sweet, 4-year-old boy with a quiet, soulful presence. He came to us as a stray-underweight, with long nails, and a demeanor that suggests he may have been fending for himself for some time. Despite his rough start, Beech has shown himself to be calm, well-mannered, and full of heart. At first, Beech can be a little shy and reserved, but he warms up quickly with a gentle approach. He's easy to collar, walks calmly past barking dogs, and doesn't pull on the leash-making him a truly enjoyable walking partner. In the yard, he lights up, exploring and sniffing with quiet curiosity.Beech recently joined a playgroup and, while he didn't engage in active play, he showed respectful greetings and coexisted peacefully with the other dogs. He was a bit cautious and guarded, but we're giving him more time to settle in and see how his social side develops.Described by volunteers as "sweet, gentle, and playful," Beech enjoys cuddles and one-on-one time with kind humans. He's still learning the basics, like "sit," and building confidence in new situations, so he'd do best in a calm home with someone patient and encouraging. If you're interested in learning more about him, please reach out to our Volunteer Matchmakers at wcac.matchmaker@gmail.com with the subject line "Beech 261968." Beech is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be neutered prior to going home. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times. Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: White Weight: 49 Age: 4yrs 1mths 1wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Beech, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
