My story

Meet Charlie – our snowy survivor ! Charlie’s story began in heartbreak—tied up and abandoned in the snow before being rescued from QACC. Now safe in his Binghamton foster home, this 1-year-old cutie is ready to start a new chapter, but he’ll need the right match to help guide him. With his freckled coat, mismatched eyes, and shorty legs, Charlie is as unique in personality as he is in looks. He’s great with other dogs and even cats, and would do best in a home with kids 10 and up. But here’s the honest truth: Charlie has a few quirks. He can guard items and needs an experienced adopter who can set clear boundaries and continue the work we’ve started. We don’t know much about his life before rescue, so it’s on us to help him succeed and show him what’s expected in a loving home.  If you’re patient, confident, and ready to help this survivor thrive—we’d love to hear from you. All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, de-wormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heart-worm tested, and treated if necessary.  Vet references and a home/family visit are required, and an adoption fee applies.  Transport options are available within our area of operation, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England.  Please note we do not adopt animals into Canada.  Visit www.pmarinc.org for more information, and to fill out an application.All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary.
