My story

Meet Cobra! He’s a 4ish years old mixed breed looking for the perfect forever home. Cobra was originally rescued from a cruelty case in South Carolina, and made his way into foster care in December of 2023. Because of his past, Cobra is weary of all new people, but especially men. When it comes to women he makes friends super easily once he’s given a few treats, but with men he needs to have a few slow introductions before he really warms up. Because of his reactivity towards new people, he’s not a good fit for a home with children. That being said, Cobra is great in his crate and can easily be put away when/if you are having people over. He is friendly with other dogs, but likes cats and small critters a little too much to live with any. Cobra is medium-low energy. He loves to go on a nice long walk every morning, but then tends to spend the rest of the day snoozing on the couch or in his crate. Cobra walks really well on the leash and loves to sniff every pole and fire hydrant he sees. He would love a home in the suburbs with a yard, but it’s not a necessity as he is being fostered in the city and does great. He is a big time snuggler and loves to be close to his favorite person, maybe that could be you? Adopt Cobra!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Cobra, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
