Scar is a big-hearted boy with an even bigger personality! When you meet him, you`ll be greeted by a happy tail wag and an eagerness to connect, he`s always ready for some love and attention! He’s a strong pup who can pull a bit on leash, but his sweet nature makes walks with him a fun adventure. Once he`s out and about, he enjoys sniffing his surroundings and soaking in the world around him! Scar is one smart cookie! He already knows sit, down, and paw, and he`s always up for showing off his skills! He enjoys a good play session, especially with tennis balls (though he plays hard enough to break them!). Rope toys? Not so much his thing. He’s all about that fetch life! Socially, Scar does best with a slow introduction to other dogs. He’s shown friendly, playful behavior once he`s had time to settle and get comfortable, especially with other playful pups. He just needs a little patience and proper intros to make new doggie friends! If you have a resident pup at home, bring them by for a meet and greet to ensure compatibility! Scar is looking for an active, loving home where he can thrive. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s playful, affectionate, and full of life, Scar might just be your guy! This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff! Be sure to check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours! Both of our locations are open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 12-5 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays 12-7 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 11 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information on our adoption process, including requirements and fees, visit: www.fairfaxcounty.gov/animalshelter/adopt
